Aging in Place
Helping seniors stay safe, supported, and independent at home
93% of BC seniors want to keep living at home for as long as possible. Eldercare helps make that a reality by funding community-based programs that support both seniors and their family caregivers.

SAFE (Specialized Assistance for Elders) Programs
Helping seniors remain safely at home
Every year, 1 in 3 seniors aged 65+ are likely to fall.
For low-income seniors living alone, that fall can mean hours without help—or worse. SAFE Lifeline provides medical alert systems free of charge to seniors most at risk, connecting them to immediate 24/7 emergency response.
One of the key causes of falls in seniors – as well as general losses in mobility and independence – can be a lack of footcare. SAFE Foot Care helps those in need, funding in-home care visits for low-income, home-bound seniors.
