Share the Joy: A Holiday Card-Writing Workshop

December 3 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Free

Share the joy with a few kind words and help brighten someone’s holiday season! This welcoming, all-ages workshop invites older adults, caregivers, family members, friends, and community members to write heartfelt holiday messages that will be placed inside handmade cards created during the December 1 Holiday Card-Making Workshop. Attend this workshop on its own or participate in both sessions! Together, the handmade cards and personal holiday notes will create meaningful gifts that remind long-term care residents they are remembered and valued during the holiday season.

Victoria Literacy Connection (VLC) will provide stationery, inspiration, and their vintage 1960s typewriter for those who would like to create a unique holiday note. Friendly VLC volunteers will be on hand to help participants write, type, or personalize their messages in a way that feels comfortable and accessible. This activity offers a meaningful way to connect with others and spread joy to residents in long-term care through the Eldercare Foundation’s Stocking Stuffers for Seniors program. No writing experience is required.
