One-Time Gift
Your one-time gift helps us enhance long-term care, support aging in place, and advance education and research to improve seniors’ care everywhere. Your support—no matter the size—helps local seniors maintain their independence and quality of life.
Monthly Giving
Monthly giving is a simple, affordable way to build generosity into your routine. Small, ongoing gifts are easy on your budget and help us plan for the future. They also reduce costs, so more of your donation supports programs and equipment.
You’ll receive a single tax receipt at year-end, and you can change or stop your donation at any time.

Leave A Legacy
Only 15% of BC adults who have a will include a charity. Leaving a legacy gift can ensure future generations of Vancouver Island seniors continue to age with dignity.
You can leave a specific amount, the remainder of your estate, or name Eldercare as a contingent beneficiary.
Common bequests include:
- Specific bequest (e.g., cash or real estate)
- Residual bequest (what remains after other gifts are distributed)
- Contingent bequest (gift is made only if certain conditions are met)

Tribute Gifts
Honour someone special or thank a caregiver with a meaningful donation. With each memorial or honour gift received, Eldercare sends notification to the next-of-kin or honoured individual as requested. Donation amounts are kept private unless specified otherwise.
These gifts create a lasting legacy by enriching the lives of seniors living in care or accessing community programs that help them stay in their homes longer.
You can also create a personalized fundraising page in tribute:
- To create a Memorial page: In Memory – JustGiving (Then click Start Fundraising, Sign Up with JustGiving, and customize your page)
- To create a Tribute page: In Honour – JustGiving (Then click Start Fundraising, Sign Up with JustGiving, and customize your page)
If your gift is a memorial or tribute donation, please include relevant details in the In Memory and/or In Honour fields of the donation form.

Security & Life Insurance
Donating shares, bonds, or mutual funds directly to Eldercare may reduce capital gains tax and generate a full-value tax receipt. You can also name Eldercare as the owner or beneficiary of a life insurance policy, or designate us in your RRSP, RRIF, or TFSA.
