Eldercare aims to bring comfort to seniors in need – and we can't do it without you!
Eldercare is seeking volunteers to assist with a new program launching in early 2026
As a volunteer, you will be responsible for helping to assemble care packages filled with comfort items and supports for seniors living with dementia which will be delivered to Island Health care facilities across Vancouver Island.
Position: Comfort Care Package Volunteer
Working conditions: A mix of administrative work at Eldercare’s headquarters on Hillside Avenue, and light lifting and packing in an unheated storage space in Langford.
Timing: Up to 2 hours, weekday afternoons, 2-4 days per month.
Requirements: Valid driver’s license/car (or similar access to independent transport); can bend and lift boxes of up to 20 pounds.
Skills: This position requires keen attention to detail to prepare care package deliveries for shipping to Island care facilities, and a compassionate heart for seniors in need.
Your impact: Your work will bring comfort, support, and relief from anxiety, loneliness, and depression to Island seniors in need.
