Eldercare aims to bring comfort, familiarity and support to long-term care residents

October 2024 – Eldercare has launched the Can You Imagine campaign to bring innovative solutions, like interactive murals and wearable technology, to seniors with dementia and vision loss, ensuring they navigate long-term care with dignity.

“In long-term care, seniors are out-of-sight and, for many, out-of-mind,” says Tom Arnold, executive director at Eldercare Foundation. “Our work is to shine a spotlight on this problem, and to raise money for the care and support they need.

“Fortunately, for seniors struggling with dementia and low vision, there’s a lot of exciting new research, technology and tools now available to help make them more comfortable.” Read more in the Times Colonist.

Please help local seniors in need. Make your donation to Eldercare’s Can You Imagine campaign to help transform care facilities into a supportive home, fill sterile white hallways with colourful details that are easier to see, and fund new technologies designed to spark personalized, happy memories for seniors with dementia.
