Come as you are\, everyone is welcome\, with or without prior art experience. \nActivities are designed to be accessible and inclusive for a wide range of abilities\, including those on a dementia journey and individuals living with limited mobility. The group provides a space for creative exploration\, connection\, confidence-building\, and joy. \nSessions are held in person\, with all materials and guidance provided. DESCRIPTION:Caring for an aging loved one can be one of life’s most meaningful experiences\, but it can also lead to emotional\, physical\, and mental exhaustion. Family caregivers often juggle many responsibilities while neglecting their own well-being\, increasing the risk of stress\, isolation\, and burnout. \nThis series offers a supportive space to understand caregiver burnout\, recognize its warning signs\, and explore practical strategies for restoring balance. Each session includes a 90-minute group session\, followed by optional pre-booked one-on-one support sessions for participants who wish to explore their caregiving experiences in a confidential setting. \nParticipants will learn to navigate challenging emotions such as guilt\, grief\, frustration\, and overwhelm while building resilience and self-compassion. Through reflection\, discussion\, and evidence-informed practices\, caregivers will gain tools to care for themselves while continuing to support their loved ones. Whether you are new to caregiving or have years of experience\, this series offers encouragement\, practical resources\, and a reminder that caring for yourself is an essential part of caring for others. \nLycia Rodrigues (she/her)\, MA\, is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who specializes in maternal mental health and supporting family caregivers experiencing depression\, anxiety\, isolation\, burnout\, grief\, and loss.
